Playing piano is something I’ve always dreamed of doing. I started taking lessons in March 2008. Prior to that I have had no formal music training. Ms. Wunsch doesn’t mess around. On my first lesson I remember looking at the material and feeling slightly overwhelmed. We went over what I would be playing in the 1st and 2nd years and honestly I didn’t really think it was going to happen. It’s a highly accelerated program. It has much more structure than other lesson plans I’ve researched.

Throughout the next few months we took each piece one step at a time. The lessons were carefully selected and each piece built off the previous lesson. I really started to surprise myself. I especially liked the fact that I was playing with both hands from day one.

I am not an easy student to teach. I often have difficulties staying focused. Every time I would have trouble, Ms. Wunsch would go the extra mile to tweak my lessons to make sure I understand. I could also log onto her blog anytime I had a question. Many of the concepts have also helped me stay focused in my professional career. I find high value in my lessons as I drive 45 minutes each way every week.

I’m here to say that I’ve achieved many of my goals. After a year and a half I’m playing a piece that a friend of mine who teaches piano would not even attempt. If you are not taking lessons from Ms. Wunsch, you are missing out!
