Holiday Humour Break

Woman dressed in business suit is talking on cordless phone and looks out the window saying Yes, I heard a scream and a cry for help. And then there was some very ominous music

From various places around the world come the stories of two animals successfully fended off with music, and I found them just amusing enough to include here:

First, there is the story of the Norwegian boy faced with possible attack by a pack of wolves. Having been warned previously not to run away from wolf packs, Walter Eikrem, a thirteen-year-old boy walking home from school in Rakkestad, found himself face-to-face with a pack of four wolves. He was listening to Creed’s “Overcome” on his mobile phone, so he removed his headphones and turned the volume up to maximum while screaming and waving his hands. After a short time, the wolves walked away.

And in Boulder, Colorado, a hibernating bear was chased off a property that provides temporary housing to hospital employees. The bear was convinced to leave by means of a loud radio tuned to a country-western station.

Of course, it could just be the volume, but what if it is the music?
