Down But Not Out

There’s not much that can keep me from my posting schedule, but computer hardware problems and server problems are the two problems that can keep me from posting each Wednesday and Saturday. My New Year’s Resolution for 2011 is to migrate this blog to a new server, which will enable me to add far more features and functionality. I might even try out a new platform if it will let me accomplish some of my goals!

As we all know, musicians are very busy from the day after Thanksgiving until New Year’s Eve, so I will not have enough time to post scientific studies. However, I want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, and a glorious New Year, and I will continue to post regularly: sometimes business tips or ideas for musicians, sometimes scientific studies, and always, useful resources. If you haven’t yet seen the Acland Atlas of Human Anatomy, you will definitely want to check this extremely useful DVD out for yourself. I really can’t recommend it highly enough, because one of the most common career-ending injuries for musicians is Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI), and understanding the way the muscles are meant to work will arm you with the knowledge you need to prevent RSI and keep your career going. Put it on your Christmas wish list!
